Postdoctoral Fellow in Immunology and Tissue Engineering (w/ Ernst Lab) The Kutys and Ernst Labs at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) are jointly recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to advance next generation experimental models of human tuberculosis (TB) pathogenesis. We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to apply techniques at the interface of immunology and tissue engineering to investigate the dynamics of human TB granuloma generation and discover host determinants of innate and adaptive immune response. We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, cell biology or other relevant discipline. Prior experience with tissue engineering and microphysiological systems is a plus. The postdoctoral fellow will work in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment and enjoy access to world-class researchers, instrumentation, and expertise. An initial two-year funded appointment is available, with mentored support to pursue individual fellowship opportunities. Candidates should send a cover letter detailing research experience and scientific interest, and a CV containing contact information for references to matthew.kutys@ucsf.edu and joel.ernst@ucsf.edu.
